Yön Lintu – Nocturnal Bird – Stuorra Skuolfi
Festivaalin lauantaipäivä huipentuu kahden tapahtuman yhteisiltaan. Illan avaa Gáddjá Haarla Pieskin tanssisooloteos Yön Lintu, josta seuraa Hilda Länsmanin ja Tuomas Norvion konsertti. Yhden lipun hinnalla pääset kokemaan molemmat tapahtumat.
Uhanalainen huuhkaja (Bubo Bubo) etsii paikkaa. Koituuko yöllinen seikkailu kohtaloksi – lavalla suojaksi on kuitenkin puettu huuhkajan teatteriasu.

Huuhkaja hahmon ominaisuudet paljastuvat, mutta nähtäväksi jää, mitä niiden päivänvaloon saattaminen vaatii. Esitys sitoo yhteen ristiriitoja; se leikittelee huuhkaja -teatteri asun kanssa, sitten pyöräyttää itsensä ympäri ja vie katsojan tarinan kääntöpuolelle. Teatteriasun taika katoaa, ja jonkin muun läsnäolo paljastuu. Esityksessä pureudutaan tanssiin välineenä kertoa eräs monimutkainen tarina

The festival’s Saturday programme culminates in a double bill featuring two events. The evening opens with Yön Lintu, a solo dance work by Gáddjá Haarla Pieski, followed by a concert by Hilda Länsman and Tuomas Norvio. With a single ticket, you can experience both events.
An endangered eagle-owl (Bubo bubo) is looking for a place to settle.
Will this nocturnal adventure prove doomed – on stage at least, the eagle-owl is clad in a theatre costume for protection.

The features of the eagle-owl character are revealed – and yet it remains to be seen what it will take to bring them into the light of day. The performance weaves together contradictions; it plays with the eagle-owl theatrical costume, then spins itself around and carries the viewer to the other side of the story. The magic of the theatrical costume fades and the presence of something else is revealed. The performance delves into dance as a medium for telling a complex story.
